Skills you will acquire with us:
- Identify and apply technological development trends
- Use of specific software solutions on different operating systems
- Develop, test, and implement system and solution variants
- Configure hardware to customer-specific requirements
- Plan, calculate, and carry out maintenance measures
- Handle fault reports and carry out preventive maintenance
- Contact with partners and customers
- Support, remote maintenance, and commissioning via the VTIS helpdesk
- Meeting deadlines as part of major projects
- Installation & configuration of clients and servers
- Setup and configuration of networks
- Configuration of network components (e.g., IP cameras, decoders, etc.)
- Fault analysis and troubleshooting in IP video surveillance systems
- Setup of specialized solutions using artificial intelligence
These are your tasks:
- Informing and advising customers on how they can use IT devices and systems
- Installing and configuring IT devices and systems
- Working with power supplies and checking electrical conditions
- Installing networks and wireless transmission systems
- Setting up IT devices with ergonomic considerations in mind,
- Carrying out maintenance work on IT devices and systems
- Using expert and diagnostic systems for fault finding and troubleshooting
- Instructing users on how to operate the systems,
Duration of the apprenticeship
Your apprenticeship lasts 36 months and takes place both in the company and at vocational school. The guiding principle of VTIS training: a secure and successful future for the next generation of skilled professionals.We train you so that we can build a long-term future together.
What you should bring with you
- Care (basic appreciation of materials, tools, and work equipment: e.g., expensive components/cameras)
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination (e.g., during assembly, installation, and repairs)
- Prudence (e.g., when working on live components and voltage connections)
- Technical and IT understanding
- Working with English-language documentation as well
