Packaging Ordinance
VerpackG
End Consumers
In accordance with the current German Packaging Act (VerpackG) pursuant to Section 15 (1) sentence 1, we are obliged to take back the following packaging materials from end consumers free of charge:
- Transport packaging, such as pallets, bulk packaging, etc.,
- Sales and outer packaging which, after use, does not typically accumulate as waste with private end consumers,
- Sales and outer packaging for which system participation is not possible due to system incompatibility according to Section 7 (5), and
- Sales packaging for products containing harmful substances or
- Reusable packaging.
Appropriate packaging material is used when the product is delivered; we take this back free of charge. We thus ensure that the packaging material is returned to the recycling cycle. By providing information on return options, better results in the return of packaging are to be achieved and a contribution to the fulfillment of European recovery targets according to EU Directive 94/62/EC is to be ensured.
As an end consumer, you can hand over the packaging material at the place of actual delivery or in its immediate vicinity.
Commercial Customers
The German Packaging Act (VerpackG) transposes the European Packaging Directive 94/62/EC into German law. It regulates the placing of packaging on the market as well as the take-back and high-quality recycling of packaging waste. The law replaced the existing Packaging Ordinance (VerpackV) in 2019 and was amended in 2021. The VerpackG2 has been in force since July 3, 2021 – and only in the Federal Republic of Germany.
With this certificate, we confirm that registered transport packaging, commercial sales packaging, and packaging for products containing harmful substances are collected from the company’s customers by Interzero partners, collected packaging is recycled, and all requirements of the Packaging Act are met.
