Today AXIS introduced the Axis T8646 PoE over Coax + Blade for the multi-channel transition to IP. This allows the reuse of existing coax cabling in the transition to IP cameras.

To complete the solution, a AXIS T8642 Ethernet over Coax Device Unit PoE + camera was chosen. The device unit and the network camera can be powered through the coaxial cable Power. In combination with the rack-mountable AXIS T8082 and the AXIS T8085 power supply solutions a successful installation and maintenance is possible.

The Axis T8646 can be used either individually or in a set with AXIS T8646 blade and six AXIS T8642 device units. The Axis T8646 is available in Q2 2014.
