Reference project:
Waste Disposal Center AEZ
Entry & Exit
Video surveillance of entrances and exits. Reduced workload for gatekeepers thanks to central control from the monitoring room. License plate recognition developed individually by VTIS.
Firing chamber
Use of special cameras for delay-free images from the combustion area. Accurate representation of the combustion process. The cameras are also used to operate the cranes that feed the fuel into the combustion chambers.
Perimeter surveillance
Monitoring of the perimeter of the plant to protect against unauthorized access or vandalism. Use of day/night cameras.
Storage
Special cameras and software for early fire detection at discharge zones, e.g. for green waste. Alarming When a defined temperature is exceeded or when smoke develops. Enables early intervention before a fire breaks out.
About the project
For this project we used solutions of the highest security standards to meet all customer requirements, because in a recycling yard the video surveillance system is exposed to considerable stress.
The goal was to replace the existing analog camera surveillance system with a modern, network-based system. The new video surveillance system required coverage of all critical areas throughout the plant and needed to display the entire recycling process without delay. To achieve this, we used a wide variety of camera models and further developed individual license plate recognition software including visualization.

Implementation
For the digitization of the old video surveillance system, we developed a network concept that was used to install the new infrastructure. In addition to network cameras, servers and workstations, coax converters were also used.
These were necessary because some analog line paths had to be included in the new network. The installation of new technology also required the laying of a new cable infrastructure (cat & fiber), as many cameras were operated via. PoE (Power over Ethernet).
Main focus of this industrial project:
– Remote control of machines
– process monitoring
– traffic management
